A life-long passion.

As a second-generation butcher, Raymond Price knows a thing or two about meat. Ray’s family managed the Homebush Abattoir, but his passion for meat really came into its own when he began his apprenticeship under master butcher, Neil Aryes, at the age of 16.


After five years under Aryes expert guidance and two years experience as a supervisor for Primo Smallgoods, Ray opened his first retail store, ‘Ray The Butcher’ at Crows Nest in 2003.


The quality of Ray’s products and his fine-tuned butcher skills quickly earned him a loyal customer base of locals. His dedication to quality was further recognised and celebrated when Ray won the Best Retail Butcher in the Lower North Shore in 2005.


With business booming, Ray opened a second retail store in Kirribilli/Milson’s Point and experienced similar success.


However, when Ray’s Milson’s Point/Kirribilli lease came up for renewal, he decided to move on. 


After a thorough search for the perfect butcher shop, Ray found the butcher shop at Riverview and instantly knew that was where he wanted to set up shop. 


Ray’s Riverview Butcher is now a local favourite, serving only the finest quality meats, and innovative meat products.
